Entrance to Liberal Humane Society Building Liberal Rotary Jun 12, 2005 Liberal Rotary Centennial Project was to update, enhance and make more beautiful the entrance of the Liberal Humane Society Building. New sidewalks and landscape was built.  View

Plaque for Centennial Duck Pond Larned Rotary Centennial Duck Pond May 30, 2005 One of the most popular areas of Larned's extensive park systems was the Duck Pond. Here children can come and observe and feed the ducks. The area got run down and was in need of repairs. Larned Rotary spent hundres of man hours and 7,000 dollars to renovate the duck pond. Now it has a fountain, waterfall, observation area and concrete sidewalks all around.  View 
The Clock Tower Hutchinson Rotary Clock Tower Centennial Project May 30, 2005 Hutchinson Rotary built a Clock Tower in the Commons area of Gowans Field on the Hutchinson Community College Campus. This 30,000 dollar project was enhanced by the addition of bells that ring at four locations on the campus. This was a gift of Rt. Martha Fee. The four way test plaques are at the bottom of the Clock Tower.  View

Library of Vietnam Project Feb 28, 2005 Library of Vietnam Project was founded by Francis(Chuck) Theusch, a Vietnam Veteran who returned to Vietnam and saw the tremendous need for libraries. Through a Rotarian who was aware of District 5690's efforts in building the Unification Library in Canel B, Kien Giang Province, Chuck was introduced to Kent Converse. The two met and have joined in the common goal waging peace through building libraries in Vietnam.  View

Panama Project Apr 1, 2004 School Children of Panama needs your help. For $100 dollars you can sponser one child at the dorm and school. For $70.00, you can feed 123 students for a month. For $40 dollars a month you can support one student for one month in high school or college. You can have a photo of your child and write to them and they will respond. Students of Panama Project Panama Project, District 5670,5690,5710 Project One: Frazier Dormitory which houses 100 children. These are poor middle school age children (mostly of indigenous background) that are students in a school near the dormitory. Their walking distance from home may take as many as four hours one way. The students are guided and taught to raise animals and plants for food.
