District 5690 - District Biographies - Assistant Governor Division IV

Sue has been a member of The Rotary Club of East Wichita for twelve years. As a member of her club she has been a YEK Mentor, Reality Fair Volunteer, 25th Club Anniversary Committee Member, Committee Member for East Rotary Foundation Fundraiser and she has held the offices of Program Chair, International Chair, Secretary and was President in 1997-1998 and has been the Rotarian of the year three times. She was the first women president of a Rotary Club in Wichita. She was an Assistant Governor for one year 1999-2000.

Sue has been married to W. C. for 35 years and they have five cats. She is Director of Administration for Piping & Equipment Co. Inc and has worked for them for 30 years. She is responsible for the administrative and financial side or the business which is engaged as a heavy industrial contractor working in the chemical, petro chemical and power industries throughout the Midwest.

Other outside activities have included volunteering with the American Red Cross as Ride for Red Chair for 6 years, Board Member since 1995 and was Board Chairman in 2001, member of chapter EM PEO for 35 years, and a member of the Wichita Jazz Festival for 30 years. She also has volunteered at the Sedgwick County Zoo serving as Zoobilee Chair for 6 years, Concert Chair for 11 years, Grim Reaper at Night of the Living Zoo for 15 years and has been a Board Member since 1994.

Sue loves to garden and travel around the world and has taken four African safaris.
