Marty has been a member of the Rotary Club of Kinsley since December of 1978. He has served two terms as Club President. Marty also has served as Club Service Chairperson for the past six years. Currently, he is serving as Club Bulletin Editor. Marty is a Multiple Paul Harris Fellow.
Born and raised in rural Hodgeman County, Marty graduated from Hanston High School. In 1977, he graduated from Kansas State University with a BS in Agriculture. Marty has been employed by the United States Department of Agriculture for the past 33 years. He is currently serving as the Edwards County Executive Director of the Farm Service Agency in Kinsley. He and his wife Jennifer have three children: Alex 13, Brett 11, and Caitlen 7. They have a small farming and livestock operation in rural Edwards County. The Gleason family has hosted a Rotary Exchange Student from Spain.
In addition to his Rotary Activities, Marty has served in several positions at St. Nicholas Church in Kinsley. He has served on the Edwards County Fair Board, Edwards County Economic Development Corporation, and the Kinsley PRIDE Committee. In his spare time, Marty enjoys running.
