District 5690 - District Biographies - Assistant Governor Division II

Bob has been a member of the Rotary Club of Kinsley since November 1, 1989. In 2006-2007, he served his third term as club president as the Kinsley club celebrated their 70th anniversary. Bob was awarded the D5690 Service Above Self Award in 97-98.

Born and raised in Kansas City, KS, Bob graduated from Wyandotte High School and was a member of the National Honor Society. He graduated from the Kansas State University College of Business in 1974, having participated in varsity sports and twice attended Olympic Training Camps held at Dartmouth College. He met his lovely wife, Crystal, while attending Kansas State, and they have been married for 32 years. Crystal, DDS has her own private practice in Kinsley. They have hosted Rotary Exchange Students from around the world.

His business experience includes Transportation, Finance and Leasing and almost 25 years with Curtis Machine Co. in Dodge City as Sales Manager.

Bob’s district service has included Rotary Foundation Chair, Youth Exchange Chair, Nominating Committee member, District Historian and once again serving as District Photographer.

He has served numerous positions at the Kinsley United Methodist Church and currently serves as Chair of the Pastor Parish Committee. Bob’s hobbies are hunting, fishing, photography and piloting single engine aircraft. Bob and Crystal are both Multiple PHFs and Bob is a sustaining member and he is working toward becoming a Major Donor this year for the Rotary Foundation.
